Problem Statement
Our customers want to be able to find different types of records easily from one search. Current search bar only allows you to search for subscriptions.
Goal
We want to understand what global search experience would benefit our customers the most. Explore narrowed down search options, filters, patterns, etc. that will result in our customer finding their desired records more efficiently.
Customer Research
Our team has a very strong relationship with our Customer Success Managers. Working closely with them we were able to send out questions asking our customers to share their thoughts on our current search functionality and were even able to record a usability session to analyze during our design sprint.
Search bars are prevalent in many applications these days. While we did spend time seeing how our competitors and other financial institutions searched through their internal records, we also searched outside of the fin-tech industry for global search and results inspo.
Prototype and Next Steps
We created an interactive prototype, and have already begun collecting internal and external feedback. With a list of small changes ready, we're aligning with our stakeholders and developers to prioritize this on our product roadmap.
